Gymitrainer is a digital learning platform that helps students prepare for the Zürcher Gymiprüfung, the Central Entrance Examination in the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland, which must be successfully passed in order to attend secondary school. Every March, several thousand Swiss students take the exam, yet on average only half of all participants pass.

Problem/Starting Point:

In the early phases of Gymitrainer's development, the team started a crowdfunding campaign to get the platform off the ground. With the Zürcher Gymiprüfung exam just around the corner, the team reached out to me for a website to be made as quickly as possible that could showcase the Gymitrainer platform as well as introduce the crowdfunding campaign and provide a means to contribute...

Process & Solutions:

Jan, Gymitrainer's founder, previously worked in a digital consulting agency as a UI designer. As such, him and I made a great team working together on the website, as he designed the wireframes using Figma, which I then brought to life on the web using Webflow. The site is intentionally minimalistic but youthful and dynamic, featuring several eye-catching animations that showcase the platform's key features as well as a development roadmap. The website also features a custom video that was implemented using an external plugin and multiple links are included for users to view and/or contribute to the crowdfunding campaign at any time.
