CMA France is the national public establishment that brings together the network of chambers of trades and crafts. In partnership with professional organizations, CMA France works to ensure that the place of crafts is fully recognized in the economy and that the interests of craft businesses are taken into account in development programs, national laws and regulations and Europeans.
Problem/Starting Point:
As is the case with many organizations in a world that is constantly evolving and at an increasingly fast pace, CMA France felt a sense of urgency to change their old ways and adopt new mindsets that could fuel their ambitious objectives. But before getting ahead of themselves, the group felt it necessary to reconsider their purpose in this world in the first place, their "Ikigaï"...
Process & Solutions:
During the Covid-19 lockdown, without the possibility of convening in-person, CMA France decided to give 25 leaders from various departments within the organization the opportunity to brainstorm together around the group's strategy for the future, using as inspiration the "Ikigai", an interesting self-development concept from Japan which puts forward the visual of a prism to see how to bring satisfaction, happiness & meaning to life. During 3 separate 3-hour long virtual workshops, my task was to manage all design & technological aspects alongside a team of Senior Consultants from Saguez & Partners, an internationally acclaimed design and branding agency based in Paris. Specifically, my responsibilities on this project included building the content featured on the virtual whiteboard (Miro) used during the workshops, creating a tutorial video and facilitating an introduction and practice activity for productive use of Miro, and managing all communications aspects during the session (video conference, breakout rooms, interactive questionnaires, etc.).
